Skies of Alvaiso

Description

Two MechLust Raider craft perform maneuvers through the abandoned floating mines high above Alvaiso; a once thriving trade planet, now an almost desolate world, the victim of its own success.
Discovered at the peak of its economical dominance by a fleet of Tratyynian Stealth Pirates posing as a caravan from Forvorloom, the assault which followed was swift and extremely unexpected. Within a few dozen hours, the entire assets of Alvaiso were in the hands of the Tratyynians, and the unfortunate natives were either enslaved or butchered.
Tratyynian Pirates are not exactly known for their negotiating skills!

Mandelbulb3D and Photoshop.

Hope you like it :)

I haven't heard about Mandelbulb3D before, but the worlds you create with this software are truly spectacular. I just checked google for a couple of references, but none of the images displayed were even close to yours qualitywise.

I love everything about this image. The complementary colors are a nice eyecatcher. Scale, lighting as well as haze and atmosphere add great depth to the scene. It's quite epic.

The descriptions which come along with your images are also a nice detail. It shows you put effort and thought into your works!

I have to write 100 words in order to complete this form, so I'm going to add a bit of critique and suggestions:
The distortion of some structures seems a little unnatural to me (it's hard to explain, but I hope you know what I mean) and I also think the world could use a few signs of life on it other than the space-ships. It feels very artificial right now.

Keep up the good work mate!
