Uncertain Future by GrungeTV Uncertain Future by GrungeTV
Getting back into sketching/painting again slightly.

A post-apocalyptic environment where pockets of civilisation have survived the aftermath, and in some cases are rebuilding/upgrading their immediate surroundings.

I've been inspired by the technique of ~R-A-I-N-A-R-T aka Sebastien Larroude, and in particular his piece 'neo pala' which you will see I've borrowed heavily from.

Photoshop: 2-3 hrs.

Sweat stung Melvyn's eyes. From the darkness of the Badlands he examined the brightly-lit buildings with furious intensity. His twisted, stinking, mutated body ached - part exhaustion, part malformation caused by the radioactivity. His jealousy burnt like an A-bomb detonation within his black heart.

They would probably be drinking coffee and smoking big cigars in the new towers.

He pulled back into the shadows as a scout-ship raced fast and low, fore-guns glowing from recent use. Washing away the last dirt from the desert...

Haha! :D
Thanks a lot Mark. Although I've never been to Sheffield before, this could be anywhere in the United Raindom Kingdom!! ;)

THe use of lighting and shade/colour scheme gives the mood of uncertainty very evidently.
