Mosuth Base by GrungeTV Mosuth Base by GrungeTV
Five years after the Tiatana crash landed on Mosuth, the survivors have almost given up hope of ever being found. Salvaging whatever materials they could from the wreck (visible in the distance) they have since established a makeshift base they call home, on this almost lifeless planet.

In the foreground, a small team are routinely gathering rock samples as part of the ongoing research of the minerals and macro organisms of the planet.

Landscape created in Vue with other details added in Photoshop.

Looks like a great background for Traveller RPG adventure module.[Uhmm...the ships navigator wasn't named Gilligan by chance?..]

excellent J. I especially like the wreck at the center.some more smaller wreckage scattered around and leading the eye to the main body might have looked cool too imo.

Thanks J!
That was exactly the part that gave me a bit of grief! I wasn't sure whether to add more or less wreckage to the scene, for fear of making it either too cluttered or too lame!
Thanks for the feedback mate. I might get back to this with your suggestion. :)

i can see you put a lot of lovely detail into the wreckage, it looks great and skillfully done.
i`m trying to remember images of wrecked ships in sci-fi films and such and how they illustrated them.i cant remember any specific examples but i do have fuzzy memories of ships broken in two mostly, guess thats the short hand for a wrecked ship..two broken halves...and scattered debris would be shorthand for an impact or explosion.your right, too much would look cluttered.best kept simple and symbolic.

Spot on with the 'broken in two' scenario J. I think this scene dictated keeping it to a minimum though, as there was already some details brewing. Still, next time I do a scene like this, I'd like to focus more on the wreck. :)

Its not bad. But now you've given me some inspiration, since I didn't think using my Terrains would be allowed in Psycho logics. :)

It hasn't been accepted yet, but I'm of the understanding that as long as the work is sci-fi based, and follows the basic concept, any medium is acceptable! :)
