A pair of Melkhalian 'BlackWing' sentry posts, as ominous as the approaching storm, stand silently on the fringes of the Streddtr Desert, ready to unleash a barrage of 30 x 150mm armour-piercing rounds upon any enemy vehicles unfortunate enough to stray within their range.

I was inspired to create this design based on the 'safe-zone' gun towers as seen in Borderlands/Borderlands 2.
Mostly Cinema4D for the towers and landscape.
The sky is stock from ~Mind-Matter [link]

I don't know Borderlands, but I like the image - reminds me of the French Maginot line from WW2...

Two things I think let down the image:
• the block colouring of the sentry post itself... Yes, you've added in some dirt, but I think you would be better either creating UV's or lots of texture selections to add more variations - like chips, fades, battle damage and so on.
• the rocks. Just use mp5gosu's rock generator - it's fab [link]

Overall, well done :-)
