First of all, I would like to say that I think this is a really great form that you've made here. The play on light and shadow are both fantastic as is the use of color. You're clearly proficient with making digital three-dimensional forms.
The few problems that I have with this piece come not from the technique; I think you've got that covered quite well. Rather, I question your choice of colors and the choice of the background. I don't think that the background does any favors for this form. This form has so much going on in the interior track that I want to be looking at, but the lines are continually pulling my eye away from that. I would love to see this same piece without the distracting background. A solid perhaps? I'm not sure, but the current background really detracts from the continuity of the form for me.
As for the color choice, I think you've done well in selecting your red, but I would reconsider the yellow. It's a little jarring and stark in this context.

Overall though, good work. I like it.
