This is yet another outstanding work from a multitalented artist!
More subdued than most of your other pieces, yet equally well done. The colors and textures are very attractive and well matched. The textured wall doesn’t upstage the drama in the foreground, but contributes to the contrast.
I especially like the light to dark shading on the background being inverted from the object’s shading. Those contrasting gradients give the object added depth and drama.
Personally, I favor art that has some ambiguity or suggests a story. The drips add that unexpected touch that engages my curiosity. Always a good thing when the viewer becomes involved with the art.
The only distraction for me comes from the drips viewed at full resolution. Somehow they seem a bit flat and not blending into the object as I would expect from a viscous fluid – almost tacked on. And the left drop is virtually identical to the right one. So my only suggestion is that you touch up the drips a bit for obsessive deviants like myself.
Overall, a superb work that blends organic shapes, dramatic lighting, and rich color into a nicely focused work of art. Kudos for also providing it as wallpaper.
A very high quality photo of a abstract 3d object. I love the smooth curves and the light of the object. The way the light is kind a dripping off the object, and the random way the objects a made but still fits perfectly together, really makes this photo so much more beautiful. This will be mine, and I'm sure, many others favorite picture of the week if not month. Even though the rest of the photo is almost empty, the gunge effect in the background gives the image a full-fill effect, so you wont get borred when you look at it. This is just one of many beautiful pictures made by this artist, and I can't wait to see the next photo he will make.
